Personal Branding Series

Part 3

Collaborate with influencers

There is an African proverb, which says –

“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together”.

I agree with it. Do you?

Imagine, you have three lacs subscribers to your YouTube channel. You have earned this by putting a lot of efforts, hard work, and time.

You see, three lacs people know you.

One day, you collaborate with another guy, let’s call him Max, who has five lacs subscribers to his channel.

You both made a video together and BOOM!

Now, not only your 3 lacs but Max’s 5 lacs subscribers also know you.

More reach = More chances of business growth.

That’s the power of collaboration with influencers.

Influencers are authorities within your niche that have a measurable impact over an audience. They could be bloggers, Instagrammers, YouTubers, and users with a large Twitter following.

By Collaborating with influencers, you can –

Boost traffic to your blog

Gain subscribers to your YouTube Channel.

Reach new audience in less time

Now, let me tell you the procedure to collaborate with influencers.

Research: Go through the list of people your followers are following. Also, use Google and Youtube, and see who are ranking on top for your desired keyword.

Reach out and Pitch your idea: Email is the best way. Check out their Instagram bio or website, get an email, and pitch them your idea. Offer something to influencer’s audience. For example, your expertise in a particular topic can help them.

Together you can –

Write guest posts on each other’s blog.

Create a vlog.

Interview each other.

Invite each other as a guest speaker at the conference.

In the age of the Internet getting saturated by content creators, you can develop relationships with your competitors and rule together. Remember, it’s not always about you. As an individual, you have got a time limitation. In between, if you keep developing relationships with influencers from your niche, it can be a significant growth hack!

Even in the music industry, when a well-known musician features another musician in their music, the track performs well because they get the combined fan following of both the artists to listen to one music track.

Hence, now onwards keep finding opportunities to establish relationships with other personal brands. It works like a charm!
