5 THINGS INTROVERTS WANT YOU TO KNOW
If you are an introvert like me, you'd know that there are a lot of myths or misconceptions about us that are just not true at all.
Here are some of the myths there are about us introverts.
1️⃣ Introverts are agoraphobic
Although some of us are…
Not all of us are afraid to go out.
Yes, we enjoy being in the comfort of our homes.
But we are definitely not afraid to go out.
2️⃣ Introverts are shy.
Quiet doesn't mean shy.
We prefer to think first before we speak.
We tend to hear from other first and get to know them before we converse with them.
3️⃣ Introverts don't know how to have fun.
Fun is slightly a different definition for us.
At gatherings, we prefer to observe and listen rather than talk.
We might not talk much but it doesn't mean we are not having fun.
4️⃣ Introverts are arrogant and rude
We can be more reserved than others.
It might be difficult to know what we are thinking.
But we are not trying to be rude or arrogant at all.
5️⃣ Introverts have low self-esteem.
Most of us are actually confident people who are great leaders and public speakers.
Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, and Elon Musk are all introverts.
Abrahan Lincoln, Albert Einstein, and Mahatma Gandhi are all introverts as well.
Not all personality types are the same.
It is important to learn and understand our differences so that we'll know how we should act around each other.
Painting each personality type with broad strokes miss all the nuances and detail that make each person a unique individual.
What are some of the misconceptions you've heard about introverts that I missed?
P.S: Do you think introverts like me show up on LinkedIn every day? Yes, we do and we are quite consistent as well 🙂
