Aristotle introduced the world to the 'Art of Persuasion.
To persuade you need all 3: Ethos, Pathos & Logos
- Ethos: Establish your credibility ("Here's why you should trust me")
- Pathos: Appeal to your listener's emotions ("Here's why you should care about what I'm going to say")
- Logos: Use logic to persuade the listener ("Here are the facts that back up my argument")
Let's simplify this for the modern world
Ethos = TRUST
Pathos = EMOTION
Logos = LOGIC
Moral: You need Trust, Emotion & Logic to Persuade someone.
